Come to Our Open Mic Dance on November 8th!

Annie Laskey, CCECD caller, Open Band

Our Second Sunday dance in November is our Open Mic!

Come join us for community dancing—with even more emphasis on Community—as we hand the microphone over to some of our members.

Dance master James Hutson sent out a request for people interested in calling, and received the biggest response to date! Eight callers will be on hand, calling one or two dances each, with lots of favorite dances making for a fun and varied program.

Our callers and dances include:

  • Todd Brun: Childgrove
  • Renée Camus: Mad Robin, The Black Nag
  • Darlene Hamilton: The Hole in the Wall, Key to the Cellar (watch Key to the Cellar on our YouTube channel)
  • Carol Johnson: Fenterlarick, Hambleton’s Round O (time permitting)
  • Pat Keating: Double Jubilee
  • Cara King: Prancing Pippin
  • Vic Lindsey: The Shrewsbury Lasses, Lilli Burlero
  • Susan Taylor: Generosity

James will be there to facilitate and act as MC extraordinaire.

As usual, we’ll be dancing to live music, this time with Interfolk: bandleader Kriss Larson on accordion, Jim Garner on fiddle and mandolin, and Aimee Aul on flute.
